Why might the rate increase or decrease its final value?
If the modification results in an increase in the reservation amount, the difference must be paid in order for the change to be confirmed. If the payment is not completed within the informed deadline, the reservation may be canceled.
If the amount decreases, the difference will be refunded using the same payment method used for the original payment, within up to 5 calendar days. In the case of reservations fully paid with Cashback, the remaining amount will be returned to your digital wallet and can be viewed under “My Wallet”.
What factors can influence the rate of my reservation?
The value of your reservation can be impacted by several factors:
Rental period: extending or shortening the period can cause a change in value, especially if it involves high-demand dates or specific promotions.
Vehicle type: changing the car category can impact the price, as vehicles of different sizes or characteristics have distinct rates.
Pick-up and drop-off location: changes to these locations can influence the price due to taxes, regional fees, or vehicle availability.
Rental company policies: each rental company defines its own rules for prices and promotions. Therefore, when changing the reservation, a new quote is applied according to the current conditions.
Coupons, discounts, and promotions: benefits applied to the original reservation, such as promotional codes, may not be available at the time of the change, resulting in a different value.
How does the payment for the additional amount work?
After you approve the change, a link to pay the difference will be sent to the email address registered in your reservation. This link allows you to complete the payment using the method of your choice. In the details, the first page of the link may show the updated total value, but upon proceeding, you will only see the difference to be paid.
Warning: if the payment of the difference is not completed within the informed deadline, the reservation may be canceled.
