How to cancel my reservation on Rentcars?

Before cancelling your reservation, make sure that changing your booking isn't the most viable option for your case.

If cancelling the reservation is necessary, you can submit the request through the website. It's a very simple 3-step process:

  1. Log in to your account and go to the "My Bookings" tab;

  2. Select the reservation you want to cancel and click on "Cancel Reservation";

  3. State the reason for cancellation. There's also space for you to add any comments if you wish.

How far in advance can I cancel my reservation?

  • Be aware! There may be charges for cancellations made outside the deadline, i.e., with less than 48 hours notice prior to the car pickup time;

  • Cancellation might not be immediate and may take up to 24 hours to process.

Pay attention to the pickup date

The option to "Request cancellation" won't be available if the vehicle pickup time has already passed.

But don't worry! You can send an email to [email protected] to have your request reviewed, or get in touch with us via Chat or Phone.

Make sure the following information is included in the body of the email:

  • Reservation Code: found on your Voucher, Confirmation Email, or in My Account > My Reservations;

Regarding refunds, remember that eligible refund amounts depend on each rental company's policies.

How long does it take for Rentcars to refund?

If you chose to pay online, once the cancellation is confirmed by our team, the refund process for the eligible amount will begin, with a timeframe of up to 5 days to be completed.
