Who can use the Best Price Guarantee?
Rentcars' Best Price Guarantee is available exclusively to customers residing in Brazil. Requests submitted by customers residing in other countries are not eligible for the program, in accordance with the current Terms and Conditions.
What are the requirements?
To be eligible for review, the following conditions must be met:
The booking must be confirmed by Rentcars;
The request must be submitted within 24 hours of the booking confirmation;
The rate found must be available for online booking at the time of review;
The offer must be identical to the booking made through Rentcars, including:
the same rental company;
the same vehicle category or group;
the same pick-up and drop-off dates and times;
the same protections, insurance coverage, and optional services;
the same payment, cancellation, tax, and fee conditions;
The rate must be in the same currency as the original booking;
The offer must be available to the general public.
Which rates are not eligible?
Rates will not be accepted if they:
Use discount coupons or promotional codes;
Are part of loyalty, rewards, or cashback programs;
Depend on memberships, partnerships, or corporate rates;
Are linked to group-buying deals or exclusive promotions;
Are part of packages that include other products or services;
Do not disclose the rental company before payment is completed;
Do not display the final price before payment.
How can I submit a request?
Requests must be submitted using the form available on the Rentcars Best Price Guarantee page.
Important:
Screenshots are not accepted as proof of the rate found;
Only one request may be submitted per booking;
Rentcars will verify whether the reported rate remains available for new bookings during the review period.
In which situations can a request be denied?
A request may not be approved if:
The booking has been canceled;
The lower rate is no longer available during the review process;
The booking was made for pick-up in less than 3 business days;
The offer found does not meet all program requirements;
There are publishing errors, typographical mistakes, or technological issues related to the advertised rate.
How does the review process work?
After the form is submitted, Rentcars will review the request within up to 3 business days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays.
Approval depends on verification of all conditions established in the program's Terms and Conditions.
When will I receive my refund?
After approval, the refund or application of the lower rate will only occur after the rental has been completed with the rental company.
Rentcars may verify directly with the rental company whether the booking was used as contracted. If this verification is not possible, proof of rental or a rental receipt may be requested.
The refund may be processed through:
A proportional refund to the card used for the prepaid booking; or
A bank transfer to a Brazilian bank account held by the booking holder.
The estimated processing time is up to 30 days after confirmation that the rental has been completed and all required information has been received.
What is the maximum refund amount?
The refunded amount corresponds to the difference between the rate paid through Rentcars and the eligible rate found on another platform, up to the total value of the original booking.
